St Peter and St Paul's

St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary Academy

Welcome to Oak Class

Mrs Rodney is our teacher and Mrs Fox supports us with our learning.

Below you will find information about our class and things to remember. This is a very important year for the children as they will be preparing for their SATs in May. They will be fully supported on their journey, we aim to keep you posted on all the events and learning throughout the year. Please keep an eye on the page to see the fun that we are having together!

At the start of the day, children will be collected from the playground at 8:30am and dismissed from the edge of the main playground at 3:00pm. Those who have permission to walk home on their own will be released here.

Our PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays. Pupils are expected to attend the Academy in their Academy PE kit on these days.

Extended Learning is made available on our Google Classroom, on Mondays. These may take the form of worksheets or online games. The children will not be expected to return this work. However, extended learning can also take the form of research projects, linked to what they are learning in class. They may be asked to turn these in on specific dates.

To find out what we are learning this year, please visit the ’Our Curriculum page’. Here you will find the subjects and learning objectives to be taught each term.

Spellings and times table practice are also made available on Google Classroom on Mondays and the test will take place the following Monday.

It is recommended that children read frequently at home and record comments about their reading. They are asked to bring reading records into the academy on Mondays and Fridays. Parents or carers are requested to sign these on Fridays before the children return them.

We will consider remote learning for pupils that test positive for COVID-19 however are well enough to learn but are following advice to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for three days.
