Your PTA
We aim to enhance the learning experience of the children at St Peter and St Paul and have some fun along the way.
The Academy PTA have in the past made significant contributions toward enhancing various aspects of life at the Academy. At the end of July 2017 we were able to donate £5,000 towards the purchase of the new Gym flooring. At the close of the 2018-19 academic year we were able to purchase 36 Chromebooks which have proved immensely popular with the children and which is enhancing their learning in computing and across the curriculum.
None of this would be possible without the support of parents, carers and the wider school community.
What do we want from you?
We’d love you to volunteer, socialise and buy those cakes and raffle tickets! You can do as little or as much as you want, but if most parents/carers were able to help with one event during the whole year we would be able to promote a lot of events. Even if you aren't able to engage with actual Academy events, make sure you engage with and support the various initiatives we run during each term.
For those of you who work, please check your firm’s community pages. Will they sponsor us? Can they match the money you give us or pay for the hours you volunteer? Can we support their product or service in return for their own support for us?
Also if anyone can sponsor a raffle prize or donate one please let us know.
What are we planning for the rest of the year?
The pandemic closed down most of our traditional events, but we were still able to offer small treats for the children during what were of course very testing times. Christmas treats, Easter eggs, and a very special reward for all our children for navigating Covid19 so well – metal pins bearing the Academy badge and the words “Lockdown Graduate 2021” in gold.
As we slowly return to a version of ‘normal’ though, please keep an eye on the weekly newsletters for upcoming events; communications sent out on our behalf from the Academy, and of course the notice boards around the grounds. We will be continuing with the ever popular Friday afternoon tuck shops, the Christmas and Summer Fairs and many other events - not to mention the new after-school "Mini-Olympics" club and ‘Sports and Young Citizen’ course.

Easy Fundraising
The Academy PTA is registered with easyfundraising which means you could help us to raise funds for the school at no extra cost to yourself.
