Think about Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest'. At the end of the story, Caliban (the monster) is left on the island alone, and is overjoyed at finally becoming king. I would like you to write 2 diary entries as Caliban.
For the 1st diary entry, I would like you to have written it right after you (Caliban) have met the 2 sailors, Stephano and Trinculo. Remember, Caliban tricks them into thinking they can slay the 'enchanter' of the island, Prospero, and take all his treasure! Be sure to write about the different thought and feelings he might have at that time.
For the 2nd diary entry, I would like you to have written it after the end of the story, when Caliban is left as king. Again, think about the thoughts and feelings he might have had then.
Be sure to write in 1st person!
