Welcome to Acorn Class
Mrs Sanford is our teacher. Miss Petrilli, Miss Pinchen, Mr Alexander and Miss Wheeler support us with our learning.
EYFS pupils will be collected from the gate at 8:45am and will be brought back to the gate at 3:00pm. As of Monday 11th October, collection of EYFS pupils at the end of the day will be from the EYFS playground.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday. Pupils will be expected to attend the Academy in their Academy PE kit on these days.
Extended learning is available on our Google Classroom on a Friday. You will find activities to carry out at home, linking to the learning in class. This may take the form of worksheets or online games. The children will not be expected to return this work.
Work will be made available on Google Classroom if your child is isolating due to Covid-19.
Early Adopter of the new EYFS Framework
St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary Academy will be an early adopter of the new Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. The Early Years Class and the Nursery will both be following the revised framework. This version of the EYFS framework has been produced for schools participating in the Early Years Foundation Stage Reforms Early Adopter Year in academic year 2020/2021.
We are very excited to have this opportunity to explore the early adopter framework. There are seven areas of learning and development that must shape educational programmes in early years settings. All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected. There are three prime areas and four specific areas.
The Prime areas are:
*Communication and Language
*Personal, Social and Emotional Development
The Specific areas are:
*Understanding the World
*Expressive Arts and Design
These areas are further explained in the document below 'EYFS Educational Programmes'. If you have any questions relating to the early adopter framework, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Sanford by emailing the admin team.
