Hello again :)

Home Learning Blog – 22nd April

Hello again! I hope you enjoyed some of the new BBC Bitesize activities that were assigned yesterday. We’re going to try some of the brand new Oak National Academy activities today, which is super exciting!

Before you begin, I would just like to clarify my expectations I have for everyone following along. Although it is very important for you to work through the new activities every day, I don’t want you to be spending an unreasonably long amount of time doing so. If you’re working longer than a normal school day, that’s too long! Get as much finished as is reasonable, and don’t worry if you don’t get everything done. You can always go back on a day that you finish early. Also, don't forget to take a few breaks! I hope that all makes sense.

What I would like you to do today is:

English:

LO: Writing a setting description

Maths:

LO: Introduction into transformation and translation

Computing:

LO: Dance mat typing

French:

LO: Labelling numbers in French

  • Log onto ‘Busy Things’ and complete the assigned activity, under the ‘assignments’ button.
  • You will be labelling different numbers in French. You will have the opportunity to mark your work when you’re finished, so don’t worry about getting them wrong on the first go.
  • Here are some numbers to help you get going:
    • 10 – dix
    • 20 – vingt
    • 30 – trente
    • 40 – quarante
    • 50 – cinquante
    • 60 – soixante
    • 70 – soixante dix
    • 80 – quatre vingt
    • 90 – quatre vingt dix

That’s it for today! Happy learning :)

Mr Lindsay

Fun fact of the day: The largest mountain on any of the planets in our solar system is Olympus Mons on planet Mars. It is 21.9km high – more than double the height of Mount Everest!
