Year 2 Daily Blog Monday 27.4.20
Good Morning Year 2. I hope you all had a nice weekend and are ready for another week of home learning. I'd just like to say I think you are all doing amazingly well working at home with your grown ups, and I hope you are behaving yourself for them. Stop and think for a minute what you could do today to show your grown up how grateful you are for their help.
This week we will be using online resources quite a bit, but please write in your home learning book when you can, and stick in any work you do on paper, as when we get back to school we'd love to see what work you've been able to do.
Monday 27th April 2020
Follow the link below for todays Maths lesson on BBC Bitesize.
This lesson includes: one video and three interactive activities.
Please just do as many of the activities as you can. A maths lesson at school would be approximately 45 minutes long, so please don’t worry if you can’t complete all of the activities today, just try to do as much as you can.
Ask your grown up to test you on your last spellings. Please use your spelling book for this, and write todays date at the top as usual.
*Attached are your spellings for next week. Please learn as usual ready for next weeks test.
Follow the link below for todays English lesson on BBC Bitesize.
This lesson includes: a video explaining caterpillar letters and a video introducing alliteration and three activities to try at home.
Please just do as many of the activities as you can, but after watching the video start from Activity 2. An English lesson at school would be approximately 45 minutes long, so please don’t worry if you can’t complete all of the activities today, just try to do as much as you can.
Choose a book and read at least 5 pages to your grown up. What is the setting in your book? Draw a picture of the setting in your Home Learning Book.
Watch this short video about The Great Fire of London.
Tell your grown up, everything you have learnt.
*Have a look at the Sunflower Fork Printing activity attached.
Can you follow the instructions to complete your own piece of art? If you haven’t got any paint, you could use coloured pencils or felt tip pens to create a flower picture of your own.
Hang your picture in your window to brighten up someone else’s day.
