Good morning Acorns,

We hope you are working hard at home with your family.  If you have already completed the challenges so far, then you are a Superstar!  We have seen some fantastic hedgehogs on Purplemash!  Keep up the good work.

Today for Literacy, we would like you to practise reading keywords by sight.  We have attached a list of keywords for you to use at home with your grown-up.

In Maths, we would like you to practise your counting skills.  You can show your grown-ups how fabulous you are!  Select a few toys and lay them on the floor.  Can you count each toy by using 1:1 correspondence?  Once you have counted, write the total in your home learning book.  Repeat this 3 more times with different sets of toys.  

Your topic 1 activity is a fun minibeast task on Purplemash.  Choose a minibeast and see if you can use your phonics to type a caption.  

Recently, we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly.  Can you design your own butterfly?  Which colours will you use?  Remember the wings on a butterfly are symmetrical.  If you have paint at home and you would prefer to paint a picture of a butterfly on paper, then that is great.
