Good Morning Acorns,

We hope you enjoyed yesterday's activities.  Today, we have set you some new challenges. 

In Literacy, we would like you to become an author!  Recently, we have been reading a story called the Owl Babies.  We would like you think about what happens in the story.  Then we would like you to make up your own story about an animal.  Where will your story be set?  Who will be the main character?  Can you talk about the beginning, middle and end of the story?  Can you draw pictures in your home learning book to show what happens in the story?  If you want to make Mrs Sanford and Miss Williamson really happy, we would love to see a few sentences underneath each picture to explain what is happening in the story. Can you write about how the characters are feeling?  

In Maths, we have a Ladybird Addition PowerPoint for you to share with your grown-up.  Can you work out the correct answer?  Afterwards, see if you can make up your own addition number sentences.  Can you write these addition number sentences in your home learning book?  

Additionally, you have some fun topic activities on Purplemash to complete.  Your first challenge is to reflect on yesterday's learning about nocturnal animals.  Can you remember any interesting facts?  Can you create your own hedgehog?  Which colours will you use?  Afterwards, we would like to see if you can design your own Easter egg.  

Remember to read at home daily and practise your keywords.
