St Peter and St Paul's

St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary Academy

It's summer and our last term of school! In September you will be going to Year 2. Can you believe that? Remember as the weather gets hotter to wear a hat in the sun and lots of sunscreen! Drink lots of water! And it's a new month, it's June! Wow, where has the time gone? June is the 6th month of the year. We're going to start with a daily quiz. I am going to give you a picture of part of an animal and you must guess what it is. Answer is at the end of our work for today. Don't peek!

Here's our work for today Monday 1 June 1.6.2020

Topic Work  Changing Seasons

How are your plants doing? Mine are growing really well. They have kept me busy every day! And the weather has been wonderful! It’s Summer! Have you noticed that the days are longer? It’s still light when you go to bed! Watch

How busy summer is! What do you normally do in summer? Even though it is summer it can still rain and it can be windy! I would like us to keep a graph of what the weather is like each day. At the end of term we will look at our daily chart and count up all the cloudy, partly cloudy, rainy, snowy, sunny and windy days we had altogether!

Download the weather graph. Enter your first weather watch observation.

RE Being Sorry

In our last lesson we learned about Levi the tax collector who was sorry because he had not been honest. He changed and followed Jesus. Today we are going to listen to the story of another man who was sorry and changed. Listen to the story of Zacchaeus.

Tell your grown-up the answers to these questions

Q         What wrong choices did Zacchaeus make?

Q         Why do you think he wanted to see Jesus?

Q         How did Zacchaeus feel when Jesus told him that he was coming to his house?

Q         What did the people who grumbled think? Why?

Q         How did Zacchaeus show he was really sorry for his wrong choices?

Q         Why was it a happy day for Zacchaeus?

Now do page 1 of the Zacchaeus worksheet.

Read from a book from home OR log onto Purple Mash and read The Secret of the Sandcastle Chapter 1 and do the Quiz. They have both been set as a 2Do for you!
