English – Tadpole’s Promise Conjunctions

When we make our booklet we need to give lots of information, so we will need to use conjunctions in our sentences to explain what changes are happening and why. We can use conjunctions, which are joining words, to make our sentences more interesting. Look at the sentences you wrote yesterday. E.g. The tadpole has grown a tail. We can use a conjunction to extend our sentence and explain why the tadpole has grown a tail e.g. The tadpole has grown a tail because it needs to move around in the water. Because is our conjunction. There are lots of conjunctions - because, as, in order to, as a result, by, so, and so that – that you can use. Take each of your sentences and make it more informative by using a conjunction to explain the changes. Write your sentences in your book.

RE Being Sorry

We know that it is important to be and say sorry. There is a story in the Bible about a tax collector called Levi. Levi was not always honest when he did his work; he took money that did not belong to him. When he saw Jesus he changed. Watch this clip

Levi was sorry because he had done wrong, just like we are sorry when we do wrong. When Jesus called him he went with Jesus and changed. Download the worksheet and write inside the speech bubbles what Jesus might have said to Levi and what Levi will have answered.
