English – Tadpole’s Promise – ow phoneme

What sound do the letters ‘ow’ make in the word rainbow? Can you hear the same sound in the word tadpole? Which letters make the same sound? Correct, it is the o-e digraph. Read Tadpole’s Promise all the way through and raise your hand each time you hear the ‘ow’ phoneme in the story.  Divide your page in your book into two columns. In one column write all the words you find with the ‘ow’ as in rainbow sound. In the other column write all the o-e words you found.
