St Peter and St Paul's

St Peter and St Paul Catholic Primary Academy

It was lovely to see lots of you yesterday. We will be  meeting again at 10:00am for the start of our English lesson. Make sure you have got some paper and a pencil or pen to write with for your live session to jot down some of your ideas.

You will need your PurpleMash log in for your computing lesson in the afternoon.

See you at 10:00.

08:55 – 09:00

Morning Prayer:

For this new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, For love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends, We thank Thee, dearest Lord.

9:00 – 10:00

Maths: To add ones using number bonds.

Use this link to watch and practise how to add by using number bonds Use the sheet at the bottom to complete questions 5 and 6 (this is the same sheet as yesterday, but you should have only answered the first 4 questions). It doesn’t need printing out – you can just write the answers down.

Challenge: Try using your number bonds to write your own additions. You can illustrate it with tens and ones if you like.

I have attached the answer sheet – an adult can mark your work with this when you have done.

10:00 – 10:30

Live lesson:

Log into Google Classroom and at 10:00am click on the meet link on the banner (where the busy bees’ picture is) I will make the link visible close to the live link time.

I will take a quick register, then go through the start of your English lesson.

10:30 – 11:00

11:00 – 11:30

English: To write about how a character feels.

To use capital letters for names and for ‘I’ in a first person sentence.

Write up your sentences that were modelled in the live lesson.

e.g. Miss Greer has stopped me building and now I am bored.

Remember, you are writing Iggy’s thoughts in first person.

  • Use a capital letter for I
  • Try not to start each sentence with I
  • Start your sentence with a capital letter
  • Put a full stop at the end of your sentence.
  • Character’s names need a capital letter.

Watch to ‘Luckily fainted – not dead’ just after the bridge has collapsed (roughly 3 minutes 26 seconds).

11:30 – 12:00

Phonics: ay and ee

Apologies the ay video for ‘ay’ did not work for everyone yesterday. I’ve added a new one today:
