Sorting Sentences

Distribute, on cards, sentences in three different grammatical forms - statements, commands and

exclamations that pertain to Rosie (see resource attached to the end of the sequence).

Children read their sentence out-loud and class work together to sort into 3 large hoops (hula hoops from the PE cupboard work well for this) that have been labelled:

statement, exclamation or command. Leave out for later reference
