Today is the Feast Day of St Peter and St Paul. Here is the school hymn - I'd like you to create your own verse to add to it. Be sure to match the rhyming pattern and rhythm.
We come together as one school,
The children of St Paul’s Cray.
We ask the Lord to guide us all,
In work, in prayer, in play.
May St Peter and St Paul,
Hear us whensoever we call
And may the Lord help us,
May the Lord bless us,
May the Lord guide us all the days of our lives.
St Peter you were Jesus’ friend,
You listened to his preaching.
Help us all to listen too,
When the staff are teaching.
May St Peter and St Paul,
Hear us whensoever we call
And may the Lord help us,
May the Lord bless us,
May the Lord guide us all the days of our lives.
St Paul you helped to spread God’s word,
You travelled far and wide.
Teach us not to be afraid
As God is by our side.
May St Peter and St Paul,
Hear us whensoever we call
And may the Lord help us,
May the Lord bless us,
May the Lord guide us all the days of our lives.
So as we journey on through life,
Wherever God may call.
We’ll not forget our school days here,
At the school of St Peter and St Paul.
May St Peter and St Paul,
Hear us whensoever we call
And may the Lord help us,
May the Lord bless us,
May the Lord guide us all the days of our lives.
That’s all for today! See you again tomorrow! : )
