Languages: As you know, Trinidad has a famous carnival which mocks the French, who colonised the Island in 1667. Let’s go back to French now and learn some more.

1 – Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_u2SigckNQ for the months of the year “Les mois de l’an” which goes to the tune of “Ten green bottles”. Join in with the song words janvier, février, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, août, septembre octobre, novembre et décembre les douze mois de l’an

2 - Make a poster, title: Les douze mois de l’année. Write out the months of the year, very neatly. You could do this in different coloured pens. Add a drawing about an event that takes place in that month or the weather or the season. Remember that months have lower case letters in French!
