Other Religions

We learn about other cultures and religions in our RE lessons. 

In the autumn term we hold our inter-faith week, where each class learn about a different religion. We also have a Diwali assembly led by Nabhinandan (Nabhi) Das from the London Institute of Vedic Education. 

What Religions do the children learn during inter-faith week?

EYFS and Year 3: Sikhism

Year 1 and Year 5: Hinduism

Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6: Islam

Judaism

In November all classes learn about Judaism.

Festival of Holi

In the spring term Nabhi returns to teach the children about the festival of Holi. We especially enjoy throwing the coloured powder!

Nabhi returns in the summer term to carry out a Hindu assembly and workshop.

Assemblies

During our celebration assemblies on a Thursday, we recognise celebrations of other faiths.
