RE

Do you remember that Ash Wednesday was the beginning of Lent, where we had a cross placed on our heads? We thought about giving things up and doing good for others. Lent is a time when Christians stop and think about following the example of Jesus. I have uploaded some photos to our blog area - choose a picture that represents Lent to you and explain why it does.

Maths

Today, I would like you to have a go at the worksheet which is available on pour blog on multiplication using the Grid Method. Before you start, have a look at this Youtube clip: http://y2u.be/LTxql8_dXec. Now you have watched it, have a go at answering the questions on the worksheet which has been uploaded to our blog area in your home learning book.

Lay it out as clearly as you can!

English

Today, I’d like you to think about a great day you have had with your family or your friends. In your home learning book, write a description of what you did, how you felt and why.

Science

I heard something interesting the other day, that your arm span (arm span is where you have your arms stretched out to the sides and you measure the distance between your outstretched fingers) is the same as your height.

I’d like you to find out if that is true or not.

This will take a little while so I’d like you to do it over two days. Write up your investigation in your home learning book and use sub-headings to divide the different areas of your investigation:

Day 1 – Think of the exact question you are investigating, make a prediction – do you think it will be the same or not? Carry out the investigation – measure your arm span and height.

Day 2 – Write up your results in the best way you think and complete your conclusion – did the results support your prediction or not and how do your results show you that?
