Jesus’ friends were happy that Jesus was alive again, but they did not understand about his new life.  They felt sad and lonely because they could not see him and wondered how they would get on without him.   Then they began to remember what Jesus had told them. “I am going back to my Father who sent me.”  Another friend remembered that he had said he would send someone else to help them.  “The Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you.  The Holy Spirit will help you to remember and understand all the things I have done and said to you.  The Holy Spirit will teach you everything and help you to know how to live good lives.”   They wondered who this Holy Spirit was and when he would come.
