Good morning Year 2. How did you all get on with your spelling test yesterday? Apart from your school lessons, what else have you been doing at home lately? Have any of you been baking cakes or building anything exciting out of Lego? Have any of you enjoyed reading a new book or playing a board game?

Don’t forget to underline the answers first when you find them hidden in the text.

Science

Today we are going to start on our new Science topic all about plants.

 

For next week, it would be great if you can buy a packet of seeds to plant, as we will be looking closely at how plants grow and change over the next few weeks.

Sunflower seeds, tomato seeds or runner bean seeds are probably the easiest to start with.

 

Watch the *Powerpoint seeds and bulbs. Complete the quiz about seeds and bulbs. How many can you get right?

In your Home Learning Book make a list and draw pictures of the different seeds and bulbs that we eat and label them with Seed or Bulb.
